Let's recap 2010/11!
In Altera, innovation is what we always talk about...In fact , we did some of the cool things in the Altera Toastmaster Club as well. Kudos to all the previous committee.
- Meeting room change to building 3 (half year basis) - This is to lessen the burden of the toastmasters from B3 for an half a year
- Toastmaster meeting in the club house - This should be the most relaxing meeting that i ever had for this year. Let's try it again!
- "Secret rehearsal" with the table topic and international speech participants - We did not try this before, but the constructive feedback did help the participants to boost up their confidence. I think Segar will agree to this, right? :)
- Demo meeting by the experienced speaker - We invited Mei Yee, Seah and Peng Yew to carry out the evaluation session. This was really an eye-opening session. I was amazed by their ability to observe and capture all the details in such a short time and present it accurately to the speakers within a given time.
Well, being innovative is important as this will always excite the members to learn more in order to improve their speaking skill under a comfortable and new environment(I realized new members from B3 tend to speak more when they are in B3..) and we really hope those changes that we made throughout year will benefits the members. At last, I wanted to post this picture as the end of my service for this term. (sorry for those who late or absent)
Oops...I almost forgot this. We used to have this magical phrase which passed down from our "ancestors" and this always come in handy if you need to motivate yourself. Now, it is time to pass this to the next committee. Here is it "VERY-EASY-ONLY". If you encounter any barrier in toastmaster, just hypnotize yourself with this! Enjoy this fantastic voyage!

Achieving Greatness Together! We really did it!
We just received the Distinguish Club Status Award from our district governor of year 2010/11 today. Check it out! Thanks Seah for providing all the support and guidance throughout the year, we really appreciate it :) . Not to forget, thanks to all the committee who works together in organizing membership drive, competitions and bi-weely meetings. Let's achieve more in the coming term and continue to support our next term exco.
